Mark has a background in Engineering - he worked in the Pulp and Paper industry for almost 9 years before coming to the Nelson Diocese. When first ordained he worked on the staff of Nativity in Blenheim from 1991-95. He then took a sabbatical and studied at St John's College in Auckland from 1996-98. He was appointed Vicar of All Saints in Nelson in 1998, relinquishing the role in 2002 in response to the Bishop's invitation to become his Chaplain.
This new ministry provides support, advice and resources to all Anglican Church leaders in the Diocese. Mark is also involved in helping churches transition between ministries and reviewing churches to help them move forward in their mission to the community and the world.He’s also involved with the network and is passionate about identifying and training young leaders who can take the gospel to their own generation. Mark is married to Pip and together they have 5 children.
