Events in the Diocese · Leaders’ Conference 2009 Dates for this conference have been set to coincide with the 150^th celebrations. Bishop John Pritchard, the Bishop of Oxford will be the guest speaker at both the Leaders Conference from the 21^st – 23^rd April and the 150^th Celebrations on the 26^th April. Please note that this is during the school holidays and so planning and preparations for the Conference will take into account and anticipate the attendance of more families. 150^th Celebration News · Sunday February 15^th 2009– Celebration of the arrival of the Royal Charter with dramatic reenactments of the bishop arriving by boat and “Founders Fun” Gala. · April 1^st & 8^th 2009 Future Nelson Forums. Public Forum at the Cathedral, with speakers Ian Grant of Parents Inc and Rt Rev Victoria Matthews. · April 26^th 2009 – The Diocese celebrates the installation of Hobhouse as the 1^st Bishop of Nelson. · 150^th Anniversary Bowls: Samples of these beautiful, specially commissioned bowls can be seen at Nativity, Holy Trinity Greymouth, the Cathedral and the Anglican Centre. These make affordable gifts (only $25 for a set!) and money raised will go to Bishopdale Theological College. Parishes have order forms.
