Gerrie Mead is the Social Services Enabler for the Anglican Diocese.

Greetings everyone, Thank you for “tuning in” to this, our social service resource page. A little about me ... I’m a registered social worker and most recently (for the last 5 years, with an 18 month break in a Christian social service agency) I have been working at Wairau Hospital, Blenheim in social work and in family violence liaison roles. Prior to this and over the last 20 years my work has involved me in both government and NGO and voluntary sectors in care and protection/women, children and family/community/medical social work; income support and legal advocacy; professional supervision; education and training.

More about Gerrie...

Initially as a Nativity parishioner, I became involved with leading Alpha courses for some 5 years and in more recent times I have been in various lay ministry roles such as Care Cell leader and prayer ministry and Vestry. I have also chaired the Anglican Care Charitable Trust for about 3 years, as well as chairing the Wairau hospital Chaplaincy committee. I have 4 wonderful adult children who all live and work in Blenheim. Gerrie
